Thacker Mountain Radio Hour, the award-winning music and literature program based in Oxford, is hosting its annual holiday membership party and silent auction Friday, December 4, 2015.

The event will be held at the Southside Gallery on Van Buren Avenue from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. Enjoy live music by Thacker Mountain Radio’s house band, the Yalobushwhackers, as well as delicious food provided by Party Waitin’ to Happen, a signature cocktail from Snackbar, beer from Yalobusha Brewery and other refreshments.

Auction bidding is open until 8:30 p.m., so that guests can browse the large collection of items available. This year’s list includes a ghost tour of Oxford, dinner for eight prepared by John Currence, and a private reading of a recently discovered, unpublished work by Larry Brown narrated by his son, Shane.

Registration is available at the door for non-members as well as membership renewal. Membership is $50 for singles, $75 for a partner membership and $10 for students. For more information, visit thackermountain.com.
