Shannon Burke is a former paramedic turned novelist. His newest book is, Into the Savage Country (Pantheon) an adventure story set in the American West of the 1820s. Burke is also author of the novels Safelight and Black Flies (a New York Times Notable Book). He has also worked on several film projects, including Syriana. He lives in Knoxville, Tennessee.
The Blackwater Trio plays rock/folk/Americana hits as well as original music. Based in Clarksdale, Mississippi, the group is Seth Stroud (guitar, lead vocals), Walt Busby (lead guitar, vocals) and Alice Hasen (violin, vocals).
Billy Gibson is a blues harmonica player from Memphis by way of Clinton, Miss. He has toured extensively in this country and abroad including performances for Armed Forces Entertainment for US military stationed in Egypt, Iraq, Kuwait, and Cuba. His CDs include In a Memphis Tone and Southern Livin’ both on Inside Sounds.
