Garth Stein’s newest novel is A Sudden Light, published by Simon and Schuster in September, 2014. He is the author of three previous novels: Raven Stole the Moon, How Evan Broke His Head and Other Secrets, and The Art of Racing in the Rain. The Art of Racing in the Rain has sold more than 4 million copies in 35 languages, and spent more than three years on the New York Times bestseller list. It has inspired a Young Reader edition as well as a children’s picture book adaptation (2014), a stage adaptation by Book-It Repertory Theatre in Seattle, and is currently in development with Universal Studios for a major motion picture.
The songwriting of Americana artist, Caleb Caudle, has drawn comparisons to Guy Clark and Townes Van Zandt. His latest CD is Paint Another Layer On My Heart, recorded in Asheville, North Carolina with, among others, Whit Wright of American Aquarium, on pedal steel. He is currently at work on a new album, Carolina Ghost.
Singer/harmonica player John Nemeth’s latest CD, Memphis Grease (Electraphonic) was awarded the Best Soul/Blues album at the 2015 Blues Awards. His current tour with his band, the Blue Dreamers, will include B.B. King’s in New York City and as well as dates in Denmark, Norway and Finland. Originally from Boise, Idaho, Nemeth now lives with his family in Memphis.
