Featuring

Author

Madeline Miller

Madeline Miller is the author of Circe (Lee Boudereaux Books/Little, Brown) a novel that follows the witch sorceress from Homer’s Odyssey into her own dangerous adventures. Following her banishment by Zeus to a deserted island, Circe tangles with wild beasts and crosses paths with some of the most famous figures in mythology including the Minotaur; Daedalus and his doomed son, Icarus; the murderous Medea; and of course, wily Odysseus.

Miller’s previous novel was the bestselling, The Song of Achilles, which was awarded the Orange Prize for Fiction and has been translated into twenty-five languages. Miller lives in Narbeth, PA with her husband and two children.

Leah Stewart

Leah Stewart is the author of the novel What You Don’t Know About Charlie Outlaw (Putnam). The story chronicles the sometimes intense, sometimes comic, travails of Charlie Outlaw, an actor dealing with the absurdities of his newfound fame. After a series of missteps, Outlaw flees to a remote island in search of anonymity and a chance to reevaluate his recent breakup with his girlfriend, TV actress Josie Lamar. Soon after his arrival on the peaceful island, his solitary hike into the jungle takes him into danger he never anticipated.

Stewart’s previous books include The History of Us, Husband and Wife, The Myth of You and Me, and Body of a Girl. The recipient of a Sachs Fund prize and an NEA Literature Fellowship, she teaches in the creative writing program at the University of Cincinnati and lives in Cincinnati with her husband and two children.
