Greg Iles’ latest thriller is Mississippi Blood, (William Morrow) the concluding volume of a bestselling trilogy that began with Natchez Burning and The Bone Tree. The three books will soon be a TV mini-series on Sony Television. His other New York Times bestsellers include, The Quiet Game, Turning Angel, and The Devil’s Punchbowl. Iles is also known as a member of the all-writer rock group, The Rock Bottom Remainders, that includes Stephen King, Roy Blount, Amy Tan and Dave Barry, among others. Iles lives in Natchez with his wife and two children.
Troy Ball is the co-author (with Brett Witte) of the memoir, Pure Heart: A Spirited Tale of Grace, Grit and Whiskey (Dey Street). This is the remarkable and charming true story of how a “pearl-wearing southern belle” and full-time mother to two developmentally-challenged sons, moved from Texas to Asheville, North Carolina in her late forties and became the country’s foremost legal distiller of traditional Appalachian moonshine.
The Clear Creek Missionary Baptist Gospel Band has served their home church for years and they also perform at musical events around the area. The Clear Creek Missionary Baptist Church is located eight miles west of Oxford and has been in existence since 1877.
Daniel Souvigny is a 16-year-old award-winning pianist from Hampshire, Illinois. His CDs include Tearin’ Up the Keys, and his latest, Possibilities.
