Jimmy Cajoleas is the author of The Good Demon (Amulet Books), a YA (Young Adult) mystery novel described as “True Detective meets The Exorcist.” Young Clare has been miserable since her exorcism. The preacher that rid her of evil didn’t understand that her demon—simply known as Her—was like a sister to Clare. Clare goes on an adventure through the dark underbelly of her small Southern town in search of Her and discovers deep-seated occult roots.
Cajoleas grew up in Jackson, Mississippi and earned his MFA from the University of Mississippi. He now lives in Brooklyn.
The Red Clay Strays are Brandon Coleman (lead vocals, guitar); Drew Nix (back vocals, rhythm guitar); Zach Rischel (lead guitar); Andrew Bishop (bass); John Hall (drums). The Mobile, AL-based band delivers solid, highly energized performances mixing Southern rock, blues, country and soul with a hint of gospel. Their current release is an EP, Admiral Bean Sessions. The band has a full-length release forthcoming from Skate Mountain Records.

The band has captured their “Ukulele Soul” sound on their self-titled debut now available on Blue Barrel Records.
