Live show and TV taping! The Thacker Mountain Radio Hour, the weekly public radio show highlighting southern literature and music, is coming to Jackson on Thursday, June 4. Showtime TBA.
The long-running program, based in Oxford and now in its 29th year, will record an episode at the Eudora Welty House & Garden.

Admission is free and the public is invited.
Doors open at TBA for refreshments. Showtime is TBA.
The event is planned as an outdoor show (weather permitting) to be held on the home grounds. Lawn chairs and blankets are encouraged!

This show will be recorded and filmed for air on Mississippi Public Broadcasting radio and television. (Air dates TBA)
Guests will include former Mississippi Poet Laureate Beth Ann Fennelly with her latest book, The Irish Goodbye: Micro-Memoirs

with musical guests, the Soul City Swingers, a soul/jazz combo from Jackson

Tyler Kemp (organ), Denny Burkes (drums), Terry Miller (trumpet) and Judson Wright (tenor saxophone).
A second musical act will be announced soon.
The show is hosted by Jim Dees with house band, Paul Tate and the Yalobushwhackers.
