Music

Liz Brasher

Memphis-based rocker Liz Brasher is set to release her EP Outcast (Fat Possum) the same day she performs on The Thacker Mountain Radio Hour for our Friday Night Double Decker show. The album was produced in Memphis by Brasher, Bruce Watson and Scott Bomar (The Bo-Keys). NPR’s All Songs Considered said, “A Memphian of Dominican descent who grew up singing in Spanish in the church, Brasher synthesizes the sounds of ‘60s garage, girl group sounds, dirty blues, holy roller church music, and Bob Dylan into something completely her own.”

Forna’s books have been translated into eighteen languages.
