Chase Parham is the author of Resilient Rebels – Ole Miss Baseball’s Remarkable Path to a National Title.
The book recounts the 2022 Rebel baseball season that saw a brutal midseason slump drop Ole Miss to the bottom of the Southeastern Conference standings and out of the Top 25.
The team lost 18 out of 29 games in March and April and as of early May were 7-14 in SEC play.
Then, they lost in the opening round of the SEC Tournament and were sent home to hope the NCAA Selection Committee might somehow extend their season.
They did.
The Rebels were picked for the Coral Gables Regional (the last of the field of 64).

Chase Parham has covered Ole Miss Baseball since 2006. He lives in Oxford, MS.
Candace Mache is from Tupelo, MS, and grew up in Memphis, TN. Members of the Swinging Machetes are Jim Spake, James Cunningham, and Tom Arndt. Thacker listeners may recall her recent appearance singing with the Dan Montgomery Band.
Her repertoire covers jazz standards from the 1920’s-1950’s; New Orleans R&B; Memphis rockabilly and soul; 1960’s pop, 1970’s rock covers, plus, “bluesy jazz and jazzy blues.”
The Fa La La is an indie rock band from Jackson, MS.
Formed from such bands as Living Better Electrically and Spacewolf, the quartet includes Jakob Clark (bass & vocals), Chris Offal (guitar & vocals), Drew McKercher (guitar & vocals), and Jarad Wilson (drums).
