Holiday Membership Party at Southside Gallery!

It's the party of the year and you're invited!

The Thacker Mountain Radio Hour will host its annual holiday/membership party, including a very unique silent auction, on Friday, Dec. 6 from 6-9 pm at Southside Gallery at 150 Van Buren Avenue. The event will feature live music by a special line-up of the Thacker house band, the Yalobushwhacker Holiday Band, with guests Alphonso Sanders, Brandon Lewis, Serena Pegues and Effie Burt.

Gourmet snacks and craft cocktails will be provided by Party Waitin’ To Happen, The Main Event, Cathead Vodka, and The Growler.

The party is free to current members.

Memberships (new or renewed) are available at the door for $50 (single), $75 for couples and $20 for students. Memberships are good for one year.

This year’s auction items include the popular “Oxford Town Progressive Dinner,” a dinner for six with each course provided at the home of a different Oxonian. Other unique items include a forage for chanterelle mushrooms and dinner at TriBecca Allie Cafe in Sardis; a bourbon tasting and digging for records at The End of All Music; and a two-night stay with fly-fishing lessons on Splinter Creek, located south of Oxford.

Other one-of-a-kind items include a premium package including cooking lessons from Home Place Pastures outside of Como, MS; mixology lessons at St. Leo’s; Double Decker VIP passes and a Mardi Gras weekend in Ocean Springs, MS.

Artwork from area artists and those with ties to the region include one-of-a-kind paintings or photos by Dick Waterman, Glennray Tutor, Bill Dunlap, David Rae Morris, and Bruce Newman. Also of interest, a series of watercolors depicting Thacker authors, musicians and crew, painted in “real time” during recent live performances by local artist Gay Graeber-Stubbs.
