Saturday, May 8 – Join us on The Thacker Mountain Radio Hour as we celebrate one of the greats, Rock and Roll Hall of Famer, Sonny Burgess and the Legendary Pacers. On this show, first aired on Feb. 25, 2017, a few months before Burgess’s death, we were celebrating a new documentary film about Burgess called, The Arkansas Wild Man. Sonny and the band really blast it. Fittingly, our author, Southern novelist Tom Franklin, spins a rural noir about a cow found dead in a most curious way. Aliens?

We’ll also be joined by Americana singer-songwriter, Rorey Carroll, and soulful acoustic duo, Teneia.

Hosts: Jim Dees and our house band, the Yalobushwhackers
