Musical Guest: El Tigre Mariachi from Taos High School (NM) (2023 photo)

Founded at Taos High School in 1980, the El Tigre Mariachi band requires students to not only learn to read music but also undergo hours of rigorous rehearsal and auditioning before joining. While certainly a music of Mexico, mariachi also has roots in Spain, Cuba and Africa.
