Chef Ed Lee

Chef Edward Lee, a James Beard award nominee, is the author of Buttermilk Graffiti (Artisan) the story of a new American culinary landscape told in sixteen personal and thought-provoking narratives accompanied by 40 recipes. Lee’s previous book is Smoke and Pickles, also a collection of stories and recipes.

Lee is the chef/owner of the restaurants, 610 Magnolia, MilkWood, and Whiskey Dry in Louisville, Kentucky; and culinary director of Succotash in National Harbor, Maryland, and Penn Quarter, Washington, DC. Lee earned an Emmy nomination for his role in the Emmy Award-winning TV series, The Mind of a Chef. Most recently, he wrote and hosted the feature documentary, Fermented. Lee lives in Louisville and Washington, DC.

Nanny Connie Simpson

Connie Simpson is the author of The Nanny Connie Way – Secrets to Mastering the First Four Months of Parenthood (Gallery Books). Simpson is from Mobile, Ala, where she says she learned the importance of manners, wisdom, compassion, love, and patience in abundance. These values have made her one of the most in-demand baby nurses and a trusted family member to many Hollywood celebrities, including Jessica Biel and Justin Timberlake, Emily Blunt and John Krasinski, and most recently Amal and George Clooney.

Her book is a go-to, first-time-parent-proof baby manual that tackles breastfeeding, pacifiers, nighttime sleeping, and of course, explosive diapers.

The War and Treaty

The War and Treaty are the husband and wife duo of Tanya Blount and Michael Trotter Jr. Their most recent release is the five-song EP, Down to the River. The disc blends roots music, bluegrass, folk, gospel and soul. The War and Treaty’s live shows are highlighted by the incredible vocal interplay of the duo’s soaring voices.
