Music

The Great Dying

Will Griffith, known musically as The Great Dying, is a Mississippi Delta born, singer-songwriter residing in Oxford, MS.

The Great Dying blends dark country with punk and alternative rock influences. Griffith’s music evolved from D.I.Y. punk roots to a unique sound that layers classic country with rock elements.

His new album, A Constant Goodbye (Dial Back Sound), mixes heartfelt ballads with high-energy rockers and features the single, “Truck Stop.”

Tracks like “New Methico” and “The Sky Over Tennessee” depict vivid stories of personal journeys, while “Arterial Rain” showcases Griffith’s signature blend of tender and gritty vocals.

The band’s previous album was Bloody Noses & Roses.

Damein Wash

From Oxford, MS, Damein Wash has spent a lifetime pursuing music across a diverse world of genres beginning with the Southern gospel tradition.

An avid performer, Wash has taken his music to cities across the United States and Europe. He is the frontman for the Oxford-based party band The Soul Tones and a member of Three Grand.

Wash’s recordings and original scores have made their way into Hallmark films and even the long-time running daytime drama, The Young and the Restless.

Wash is also making his mark in film. His debut film, Two Headed Woman was released in 2019 and was an official selection of the Bill Johnson Film Festival in Gary, Indiana.

Wash has recently added certified drone pilot to his list of talents.
