Featuring

Author

Nate DiMeo

Nate DiMeo is the author of The Memory Palace, (Random House) a collection of true, historical short stories. The book is an out-growth of his likewise named podcast which was a Peabody Award finalist and among the first group of podcasts preserved by the Library of Congress.

A former writer for NBC-TV’s Parks and Recreation, DiMeo is a co-author of a book based on that show’s fictional hometown: Pawnee: The Greatest Town in America, which became a finalist for the Thurber Prize for American Humor.

Music

Crys Matthews

A troubadour of truth, Nashville resident Crys Matthews is among the brightest stars of the new generation of social justice music-makers.

An award-winning, prolific lyricist and composer, Matthews blends country, Americana, folk, blues, and bluegrass into a bold performance steeped in traditional melodies punctuated by honest, original lyrics.

Her latest release is the album, Reclamation, recorded in Nashville and produced by Levi Lowrey (Zac Brown Band).

Cash's Juke Joint

Macon, GA is a storied music town, home to Little Richard, Otis Redding, the Allman Brothers and dozens more. Angel “Cash” Ocasio, Jr. and his collective, Cash’s Juke Joint, is a worthy addition to Macon’s strong and funky musical lineage.

Whether a duo (with drummer Javares “J.D.” Dunn) a trio, a full band with horns or just Angel on his sacred steel, Cash’s Juke Joint bring the blues, soul, spirituals, swing, funk, rock – in short, southern soul any way you like it.

Cash’s latest singles include, Early in the Morning, Walk With Me and Mr. Easer.
