Bonnie Jo Campbell

Bonnie Jo Campbell is the author of the new story collection, Mother, Tell Your Daughters (Norton). The book’s strong but flawed working-class protagonists are at once vulnerable, wise, cruel, and funny. Her previous books include the novels, Once Upon a River and Q Road and the story collections, American Salvage and Women and Other Animals. She lives with her husband and other animals outside Kalamazoo, Michigan.

Jerry Jenkins

Jerry Jenkins is a performance artist specializing in West African djembe drum ensemble, which involves the use of the traditional instruments, rhythms, and stories of the Malinke people of West Africa. During his career as a djembe player, he has taught West African drumming in workshops around the world.

Eden Brent & Sisters

The Brent Sisters are Eden, Bronwynne and Jessica Brent of Greenville. Their CD, produced by Tricia Walker, is Party Dress: Songs of Carole Lamb Brent, a collection of songs written by their late mother. Eden is an award-winning blues pianist who combines boogie-woogie with elements of blues, jazz, soul, gospel and pop. Her CDs include Mississippi Number One, Ain’t Got No Troubles (recorded in New Orleans) and her latest, Jigsaw Heart. Bronwynne Brent is a singer/songwriter/guitarist whose releases include Deep Black Water and her latest, Stardust. Jessica Brent is also a singer-songwriter. Her releases include, Deerskin Jacket.

PLUME

Clarksdale native and filmmaker Will Goss has been recording under the PLUME moniker to release avant-pop albums since 2006 while studying art at the University of Georgia in Athens.  Goss then spent time in Chicago where he attended the Art Institute of Chicago.  He now lives in Jackson, Mississippi. His latest release is Resting On My Laurels, a 13-song retrospective cassette of his best songs. PLUME will perform an in-store appearance at The End of All Music 1423 N Lamar Blvd on Friday, Oct. 30. (Check store for time).
