Jamison Hollister is a multi-instrumentalist (pedal steel, fiddle, mandolin and guitar) who has appeared on such national television shows as American Idol, The Voice, and Glee. He has also toured the world performing with such acts as Lisa Marie Presley and John Fogerty. For Trials of the Earth, Jamison will contribute original songs written specifically for this show.
Formed in 2008, the New York City Slickers quickly became one of the top bluegrass bands in their namesake city, celebrated for their high energy, eclectic, progressive sound. Drawing from their classically trained backgrounds and performance careers, their bluegrass sound incorporates musical theatre, Nashville, jazz, pop and gospel.
Vicksburg native, Patrick Smith, and his Patrick Smith Band, play music that is “funky, bluesy, and soulful, but rocks.” Smith has toured the world as a keyboardist for the Dirty Dozen Brass Band and North Mississippi Allstars. A review in Variety said, “He plays like Jerry Lee Lewis and sings like Elton John.” The Patrick Smith Band’s latest CD is Free Beer and Fried Chicken.
