The Mighty Souls Four is a smaller esemble coming from the Mighty Souls Brass Band of Memphis. The group is known for taking their love of New Orleans-style brass band music to explore soul, funk, R&B and world music.
Their latest release is The People, which includes the single People Over Profits. Their previous release was Lift Up!
The group is anchored by sousaphonist Sean Murphy.
Keith Johnson is a traditional Mississippi bluesman who happens to be the great nephew of blues legend, Muddy Waters. Keith, who bills himself as “The Prince of the Delta Blues,” and his Big Muddy Band, have toured across Europe and Brazil. Johnson’s albums include Come to Mississippi and Sounds Like Christmas.
Of note, Johnson is a graduate of the Delta Music Institute audio engineering program at Delta State University.
